The year is almost over and summer is approaching. Summer is a great time to relax and spend time with friends. And after a long school year a majority of students feel releaved on the last day of school. Relaxing is what most students are looking forward to this summer.
Personally I'm excited for summer because I'm going to go out of town. I am most likely going to Arizona to visit my grandma and my grandmas best friend Joanne. I really am looking forward to going to Arizona because Joanne has been diagnosed with a disease and she doesn't have much time to live, the sooner I see her the better.
I am altogether excited for summer because its a time for me to relax and rest. It's really easy for me to adapt to the life style of sleeping in and not doing anything. But, that makes it especially hard for me to get up once school starts!
Their are a couple of days this summer that I am going to be playing at a volleyball camp. I am planning on participating at the Romona Camp with their head coach Connie Halfacer. I will be joining an Epic Volleyball Camp that targets hitting and digging also.
Lastly, summer is a very beneficial time for me to spend time with my friends and family. Having time to connect with them and not worry about homework and tests is a wonderful way for me to enjoy myself. I am looking forward to summer very much.

Music
Music has and always will play a big part in our society. It has been said that soothing melodies can take stress away and calm the nerves. Today in our culture we have may different genres of music. The most popular kinds are: Rock and Roll, Rap, Country and Worship.
Rock and Roll has been hip ever since Elvis Presley introduced it in the 1950s. It is a combination of blues, folk tale and a very repetitive beat.
Rap contisits of a very heavy beat and a really catchy chorus. But it also contains a rapper hence "Rap" music and they basically talk really fast to a rhyming tone of the melody.
Country music is a type of laid back, guitar strung, twangy music. Most country music is sung by people that live in the southern states like Texas and Louisianna.
Worship music is designed in order to praise God. And sing to Him and thank him and recognize Him for what he has done.
All of these varieties of music are what help keep people going. Without music life would feel vacant and boring. Some people even listen to music to "get into there zone", which is just another way for them to basically clear there mind from there problems and sit back and relax. The type of genre that helps you calm your nerves all depends on your character. Worship music can provide a place of rest because it openly allows you to personally thank God for everything He has done for you.

King of Rock and Roll
If you approached any American with the question "Who is the King of Rock and Roll?", most likely everyone would say Elvis Presley. Which is just a minuscule maxim that reveals what he was most famous for. He was a singer and an actor in the twentieth century. His most famous songs were: Jailhouse Rock, I Can't Help Falling in Love, Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, Love Me Tender, All Shook Up, Are You Lonesome Tonight and many more!
But, not only was Elvis an incredible singer and performer, he was also a teenage girl heart throb. Girls went crazy over him. Especially when they saw his movies. He starred in: Jailhouse Rock, Viva Las Vegas, Blue Hawaii, Love Me Tender, King Creole, Loving You,G.I. blues and many more! Everyone adored his music and movies.
His journey to fame is a very exciting one. At the age of twenty in 1955, people were very much so drawn to his musical talents, provocative dancing (gyrating hips), and handsome features. In 1956,
(a year after Elvis produced his first single Heartbrake Hotel) He signed a contract with Paramount Pictures and produced his fist hit film, Love Me Tender. Although, shortly after, Elvis was drafted into the War and fought until the end on War in 1960. But, those few years of leave didn't stop him, he quickly picked up his career right where he left off and achieved the name "The King". He has and will always be known for revealing a new type of music to people, a music known as Rock and Roll.

"I Love Lucy"
One of the most memorable television show of all time is I Love Lucy. It first aired in the 1950s and was a smashing hit from the start. Lucille Ball (main character of the show) was an excellent performer and really gave the audience and television watchers a great laugh. She always was getting into crazy predicaments in every episode. And to think the producers of CBS thought that I Love Lucy wasn't going to make it! Lucille Ball will always be remembered for her outstanding acting.
I Love Lucy is a show about a wife (Lucille Ball) who is married to a band leader (Desi Arnaz) in New York City. In every episode Lucy (Lucille) is always finding herself in a "jam" and she always has a plan to get out of that situation but she ends up making it worse or just embarrassing herself. Her landlords, also her best friends, (Fred and Ethel Mertz) usually get affiliated in her messes. Over all it's a hilliarous show, especially because you never know what kind of trouble Lucy is going to end up in.
The show I Love Lucy originally seemed like a long shot to the producer of CBS so Lucille Ball and (her real husband) Desi Arnaz paid a pre-cut price of what the show was going to cost, and called it a Desilu production. And after they started filming it turned out that I Love Lucy was a great hit and they made tons of money off of it, and still kept the production name Desilu.
To this day many people enjoy watching I Love Lucy reruns because they are hilarious and very entertaining. Even though Lucille Ball has passed away, her memory and legacy is left with us in her show.

Someone very special
Someone very special and dear to me is my Dad. He has always been there for me and encouraging me along the way. He has set a great example for me to follow and I'm tring my best to do so.
I believe my Dad is such a great Dad because my grandfather may have not always been there for him and encouraging him as he was growing up. Which I think is part of the reason why he always puts me first in his life and worries about me, before himself. I'm very cognizant of this because he tells me almost every single day.
Knowing that someone is always there for me is comforting and also relieving. Because I know if I'm ever in trouble or struggling through some obstacle, that my dad is always going to be there for me.
My dad is always there for me spiritually to. He is constantly encouraging me in the Lord and teaching me new things. He is continuously quoting scripture and reminding me that the Lord comes before all other pleasures of the world. He also loves to remind me that my days will be long if I honor my father and mother. And during all our conversations about The Lord, He enjoys telling me what God is doing through his life and loves to hear about what He is doing in mine. I love and appreciate my dad more than he knows, and I consider him one of the most special people in my life.

Adolf Hitler in World War II
"Today Germany is ours and tomorrow the whole world!" -Adolf Hitler. During the 1920s and 1930s Germany was very vulnerable because of their prior defeat in World War I. A man named Adolf Hitler made a very vivid impression upon the people of Germany and saw this as an opportunity to seize power of Germany. He took it upon himself to lead the people of Germany out of their depression. His answer to Germany of why the people were suffering was because of the Jews. The reason people believe Adolf Hitler blamed Germany's sufferings on the Jews was because his mother became pregnant with the head of a are wish household and was paid to go away and raise the child alone ( Adolf Hitler was the conceived child). Also his mother died from a cancer, and the Jewish doctor didn't save her life or cure the cancer. And because of this he believed that they should be held responsible and "punished" the right way.
Adolf Hitler's way of punishing the Jews was ultimately death, but by terrifying ways. Nazis ( the name of the German soldiers fighting for Hitler) would take Jews to concentration camps where you would be brutally punished. The most common ways to die in concentration camps were: being stuffed into what looked like a shower but was actually a gas chamber, having you eyes injected with a substance that would change the color of them, being pulled in and out of water very quickly so that your eyes would begin to bleed, being shot, hunger deprivation, and lastly the Nazis would throw babies in the air and use them as shooting targets.

Are electronics beneficial ?
Ever since 1979 we have made great strides in developing electronics. Presently in 2013, electronics have become some people's "lives". A majority of what people do is play on there phone, computer, iPad, iPod, and television. These things are not bad, but the can be very distracting and disruptive. Electronics can be very useful and helpful like when you need to get ahold of someone or researching something. Although, electronics can encourage people to be more anti-social and inactive.
Electronics are very popular right now as far as learning goes for young children. IPads are thought to be very beneficial for reading and writing programs that will help improve toddler and preschooler skills. Cell phone are very useful in this day and age. They can help us get ahold of people, text people, and even check the weather!
The television was invented before 1979, but it has been very beneficial for us to watch the news and sports games. It is also a great way of intertainment.
In many ways electronics are very disrupting. An IPad is a way that people waste many hours on, just by playing games or going on interactive websites like Facebook and Instagram. Cells phones are causing the younger generation to become anti-social. They text each other and then never talk to each other in person! They could even be sitting right next to someone and be texting them instead of talking! Television is a way people waste there time and become "couch potatoes".
People could be spending there time outdoors, hanging out with friends, or even excising. But instead electronics have become a very corrupt thing in our society today.
Our solution to electronics is inconclusive. There are many precise reasons stating whether electrons are beneficial or not.

Why are German Shepards the best?
German Shepherds may not seem like the most "friendly" dogs, but they are actually very respectful. This specific breed, is very intelligent and well motivated. That's why some people are afraid of these dogs, because they are used for police work, like chasing a criminal or hunting down drugs. But not all German Shepherds are wired to be a police dog, it all depends on how you train them.
Most dog owners know that training a puppy is very important and effects its character later on. All puppies need to be molded into the type of dog you want them to be. But, the thing about a German Shepherds is that they can factor many skills at one time. This just means that they are, not necessarily easier to train but, that they can catch on more quickly and comprehend more than other dog breeds. But, of course all puppies require consecutive attention. So training a German Shepherd will take some work, but not as much as other dogs.
Keep in mind that a German Shepherd is not an ambling dog. This specific breed is hard working, physically and mentally. They are the most respectful , loyal, and judge worthy among all dogs. They are respectful because they always do what they are told. They are loyal because they obey their masters. Also they are judge worthy because they always submit to their authorities. They always give a full effort in everything that they do, which is why they are considered the best dogs to have.

Hawaii
Hawaii is considered one of the most beautiful and peaceful islands. The ocean, beaches, wild life, and plants are extremely pretty there and are very enjoyable. All the plants are green with colorful flowers and the oceans are a clear blue, and the wild life is very beautiful. It is a great place to go and relax and get a really good tan. The island is very welcoming, safe, and quiet place to be.
This is why lots of people take vacations to Hawaii. I, myself, have never been there, but all of my friends have told me that it is one of the best places to go. There are many different places in Hawaii that people travel to. There are smaller islands inside one big island (Hawaii). Some are: Kauai, Maui, and Oahu. All these places are similar, but, can have a very different feel to them.
If you enjoy cannons, the best place to visit would be Kauai. If you enjoy snorkeling the best place to go would be Maui. Also if you enjoy cities within walking distance, Oahu would be a great place to visit.
There are many different and exciting things to do in Hawaii. So many that time will elapse right by. Some great and fun things to do are: snorkel, swim with wild life, bike around the island, canoe, surf there really big waves, shop and much more. Hawaii is probably one of the most entertaining places to visit, because of all the great things that you can do.

First Lady's appearance at the 2013 Academy Awards
Was Michelle Obama's appearance at the 2013 Academy Awards appropriate?
Many people believe she was trying to "selfishly crash the event in attempts to upstage it".
"Shoot, my bangs set off a national conversation. My shoes can set off a national conversation. That's just sort of where we are. We've got a lot of talking going on." Stated the First Lady. Michelle Obama states that "she doesn't give a second thought to critical comments about what she does as first lady."
The First Lady's intention, in being in the Academy Awards was to further her future goals, in supporting the arts. Michelle did not think she was causing a commotion among people, she stated in an interview that, "she was astounded by the buzz about cutting her hair to add bangs, which she unveiled on her birthday, just before inauguration weekend." When Michelle Obama was asked about the commotion she had caused she clearly stated, " I was, I have to say. I'm like, it's a haircut".
Not only was Michelle Obama accused of stealing the show by her outward appearance, but also by her general appearance on the Awards ceremony. People are annoyed by the First Lady's appearance and involvement in many activities that seem to be none of her business. Which is why she is being a accused of "stealing the spot light". Michelle Obama has already appeared on mom dancing with Jimmy Fallon, has made many videos with Big Bird on Sesame Street, talked about her new obesity campaign in interviews and fitness related event with Rachel Ray and Serena Williams.
