The year is almost over and summer is approaching. Summer is a great time to relax and spend time with friends. And after a long school year a majority of students feel releaved on the last day of school. Relaxing is what most students are looking forward to this summer.
Personally I'm excited for summer because I'm going to go out of town. I am most likely going to Arizona to visit my grandma and my grandmas best friend Joanne. I really am looking forward to going to Arizona because Joanne has been diagnosed with a disease and she doesn't have much time to live, the sooner I see her the better.
I am altogether excited for summer because its a time for me to relax and rest. It's really easy for me to adapt to the life style of sleeping in and not doing anything. But, that makes it especially hard for me to get up once school starts!
Their are a couple of days this summer that I am going to be playing at a volleyball camp. I am planning on participating at the Romona Camp with their head coach Connie Halfacer. I will be joining an Epic Volleyball Camp that targets hitting and digging also.
Lastly, summer is a very beneficial time for me to spend time with my friends and family. Having time to connect with them and not worry about homework and tests is a wonderful way for me to enjoy myself. I am looking forward to summer very much.

Music
Music has and always will play a big part in our society. It has been said that soothing melodies can take stress away and calm the nerves. Today in our culture we have may different genres of music. The most popular kinds are: Rock and Roll, Rap, Country and Worship.
Rock and Roll has been hip ever since Elvis Presley introduced it in the 1950s. It is a combination of blues, folk tale and a very repetitive beat.
Rap contisits of a very heavy beat and a really catchy chorus. But it also contains a rapper hence "Rap" music and they basically talk really fast to a rhyming tone of the melody.
Country music is a type of laid back, guitar strung, twangy music. Most country music is sung by people that live in the southern states like Texas and Louisianna.
Worship music is designed in order to praise God. And sing to Him and thank him and recognize Him for what he has done.
All of these varieties of music are what help keep people going. Without music life would feel vacant and boring. Some people even listen to music to "get into there zone", which is just another way for them to basically clear there mind from there problems and sit back and relax. The type of genre that helps you calm your nerves all depends on your character. Worship music can provide a place of rest because it openly allows you to personally thank God for everything He has done for you.

King of Rock and Roll
If you approached any American with the question "Who is the King of Rock and Roll?", most likely everyone would say Elvis Presley. Which is just a minuscule maxim that reveals what he was most famous for. He was a singer and an actor in the twentieth century. His most famous songs were: Jailhouse Rock, I Can't Help Falling in Love, Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, Love Me Tender, All Shook Up, Are You Lonesome Tonight and many more!
But, not only was Elvis an incredible singer and performer, he was also a teenage girl heart throb. Girls went crazy over him. Especially when they saw his movies. He starred in: Jailhouse Rock, Viva Las Vegas, Blue Hawaii, Love Me Tender, King Creole, Loving You,G.I. blues and many more! Everyone adored his music and movies.
His journey to fame is a very exciting one. At the age of twenty in 1955, people were very much so drawn to his musical talents, provocative dancing (gyrating hips), and handsome features. In 1956,
(a year after Elvis produced his first single Heartbrake Hotel) He signed a contract with Paramount Pictures and produced his fist hit film, Love Me Tender. Although, shortly after, Elvis was drafted into the War and fought until the end on War in 1960. But, those few years of leave didn't stop him, he quickly picked up his career right where he left off and achieved the name "The King". He has and will always be known for revealing a new type of music to people, a music known as Rock and Roll.
